Pro Evolution Soccer (known in Japan, Korea, and formerly in the Americas as Winning Eleven) is a soccer video game series developed by Konami.
Pro Evolution Soccer 5 (Winning Eleven 9 in Japan and World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 in the US) was launched by Konami in October 2005 and showed the images of John Terry and Thierry Henry on the cover.

The enhancements present in this new version of the famous soccer game were mainly shifts to the gameplay. The game brings as well a very hard and defensive AI which makes it harder to score. Another feature present in this version is that referees are very fussy over decisions, and usually award free kicks which are not always fair enough. There are several new club licenses present, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Celtic, Rangers and a few other European clubs, as well as the full Dutch, Spanish and Italian Leagues. Although there are fan-made mods which address some bugs and errors present in the PC version, such as the absence of public in some matches, no official patch has been released so far.

Pros

  • Good shifts in the gameplay

Cons

  • Some bugs not fixed by any official patch
